The Bullish King

We walk around like kings of our own kingdoms, always bullish on ourselves, always thinking the world revolves around what we want. Sometimes it feels like we treat the people around us like ghosts, like they are not even living in the same world as us. Our pride gets so loud that we stop living in the moment and start chasing some kingdom that may never exist. We build these walls in our heads and sit on imaginary thrones, guarding things that do not really belong to us. We chase power, attention, and control like it will finally make us feel whole, but it only pushes us farther away from the people standing right next to us. The strange part is that while we are busy trying to rule something, we forget how to live inside the moment we already have. I keep wondering why we do this to ourselves, why our pride grows so heavy that it blinds us to what is real. Maybe the kingdom we are looking for was never meant to be built somewhere far away. Maybe it was always supposed to be found right here, in the now, with the people we keep turning into ghosts.
